I bled during my flu shot today. Is this majority, and is it not detrimental that this happen?
Answers: It is without blemish normal for an Intramuscular injection to bleed. It in truth indicates that the vaccine went be it was intended. Muscles are weighty and are rich in blood supply. Flu vaccines are given as an intramuscular injection and requires a larger bore syringe. The needle size choice should be made according to your build. If you are of a smaller stature, a smaller plunger could be used which may have minimized the bleeding, but your nurse practicioner is correct. If you dont trust her, you should find someone that you would trust.
I only had a tetanus shot and be surprised to see blood on my shirt sleeve when I got home. She probably a short time ago hit a superficial skin vessel and it bled a little. When they inject you beside a vaccine they are supposed to pull support on the syringe to make sure they are not within a vessel in the muscle. If she did inject you within a muscle vessel you would have have a reaction. She hit a skin vessel and you, approaching me, are fine!
You don't trust a nurse but you trust people on runeed.coms?
