I have this cyst at the spinal column of my neck. I enjoy had it past and it is called a subacceous cyst. It is similar to a boil full of puss (sorry to be so graphic!). It is so annoying and sometimes itchy. It is gadually getting bigger. My Dr keep prescribing antibiotics and it hasn't improved at adjectives. I am tired of taking so many antibiotics. I want to know (is their a nurse contained by the house) if it would be safe if I spar it myself so that the puss can drain out? The last time a nurse did it for me but by that stage it be huge and puss was already coming out on it's own. I want to take rid of the thing immediately! It is about the size of a 10 cent piece.

Answers:    It sounds similar to you need to hold this cyst removed. Just draining it will not get rid of it as it will return unless the sac itself is removed. I suggest you see a dermatologist who can remove it within his office.

Never assegai a cyst yourself. Improperly done, you run the risk of serious injury and complications. More important, it can organize to infection or the spread of infection.

Most sebacious cysts go away on their own and aren't usually packed wit pus. They are often will with sebum. If yours is occupied with pus, and requires antibiotics, it is infected. Please see a dermatologist
