are tapeworms harmful to humans...lead to ive heard that society can eat em and consequently lose weight...is this true that they can do this beside out any harm....i do not want to try this myself...i be just curious

Answers:    Yes, tapeworms hold all the fuel from the body and the sufferer loses weight. I saw a documentary nearly this and a volunteer (under medical supervision) deliberately infected themselves.
Medication be later administered to rid the parasite, but they have to physically expel every segment of the massive beast (anally)so as not to reinfect. Nasty stuff.
Apparently a major fifities Hollywood actress did this to lose weight but I don't take out who it was.
