He's my first baby.. so I don't know whether to be concerned or not..He'll stick anything down his throat, gag himself and charitable of smile after he coughs. It's really bothering me. It'll be the mallet to his xylophone or some other toy, or if he have nothing he'll stick his finger within his throat. I can't get him to stop it. I can't stand seeing him beside watery eyes, and coughing!! Should I bring this up next to his pediatrician this week?

Answers:    Lots of little kids experiment with their gag reflex. I reckon many keep hold of doing it because of the funny faces on Mom and Dad's face when they do it.

My son stopped when I stopped making the funny faces and sounds contained by response.
