They said the average per annum cost for children aged 0-1 is $34,000, 2-4 is about $15,000 5-17 is $13,000 and 18+ is $4,000. However, these are the statistics from 1996. So I'm sure the costs own risen accordingly. Hopefully this will pass you a good theory of what to expect.
