Getting prescriptions bursting?

how soon can you get perscriptions full up between refills? i have always thought it be a week, but the pharmacy i went to just this minute told me they could only plague it 2 days early. is that the rule or is every pharmacy different?

Answers:    This is a official restriction to prevent abuse and hoarding. If you own a 30-day supply, you should not need to replenish on day 20 or sooner. Although restrictions may rise and fall from one plan to the next, across the world speaking you should not be asking for more when you have 80% or more of the previous month's supply.
Where I am (MA) I also cannot achieve any of my prescriptions filled until no more than 2 days surrounded by advance.

I be told by the Pharmacist that this is because of people abuse certain medication like aching killers and anti-depressants by taking more than the prescription suggests.
It depends on what it is and if you are using insurance or not. For example, they will not plague a script for a controlled drug like Vicodin or Valium hasty. They will fill one for read out an anti-biotic or blood pressure meds early if you call for them to. However, if you are usuing insurance to pay, the insurance compnay won't earnings for it until a certain amount of time have gone by since the last one be filled. sometimes it is 2 days, possibly 3, just depends on the insurance co.
