Unfortunately, there are thousands of chemicals contained by smoke. Substances such as Tar and Benzene are not polar and will make themselves at home within your lung.
When your body attempts to break these compounds down, free radicals form and scramble the DNA within nearby cell and you increase your risk of cancer exponentially.
