What do you hold to do to become a nurse practitoner and how ong does it help yourself to?

Answers:    To be a nurse practitioner you have to move about through nursing school and gain your BSN (Bachelor Science Nursing),on average this takes something like 6 years. Then you can go on to bring back your masters. It takes a long time and I don't really estimate it it worth it in the wind up. You can have your own practice but next you will also need your own insurance. Be a PA (Physician's Assistant) instead, you can enjoy a 4 year degree within anything and then move about to PA school for 2 more years, they variety about equal as a NP but they can't have their own practice. So I guess it depends on what you want any way I would plan on at smallest 6-8 years in university. :(
