Can chronic stress cause dry mucous membranes? I go through a 2-3 month chronic stress situation, with little or no sleep. Afterwards, adjectives of my mucous membranes dried up. My eyes burn, my nose is dry and cracked, my mouth is dry, and my throat is dry next to a dry cough. Can anyone at all explain what is going on? No doctor can give an account me, which I find frustrating. Its been several months since the stress passed, but no expansion. Any help or scholarship would be extremely appreciated.

Answers:    It should not cause the dryness. Are you drinking plenty of hose? This is the only item I can think is cause it. Are you on any medicine?? Some mecicine can wreak this.
