I'm an emt,most of our patients dont entail an ambulance,and some relatively simply pretend to be in pain!?
Answers: i enjoy never done it, but there are several reason, and these are not opinions, they are facts: someone wanting a ride to town, using the ambulance as a minicab service... someone wanting attention from their loved ones... someone who is lonely and just requests some company... sometimes the nursing homes will send them surrounded by so they dont have to be bothered by them for a few hours... these are basically some reasons, ones that i enjoy actually see... i am sure there are plenty more out at hand...
I am in a voluntary ambulance union and we only transport if we really estimate they need to progress to hospital but i guess if they want to go to hospital that's their choice .
