One of my second graders have a strange, imprudent piece underneath his eye?

I teach second position. One of my students was not in for three days. When he returned today, he was extremely inert and has this unusual, rash entity that looks like hives/bumps below his eye.

He gave me a doctors minute that okayed him to turn back to arts school today. It didn't say what be wrong. When I asked him what he went to the doctor for, he be very indefinite and seemed confused.

Any thinking what it could be? Please say not pink eye.

Answers:    Well, if it be UNDER his eye and nowhere else, it's possible it was pink eye, but it could more expected be one of a dozen other things, too.

If you are concerned for the rest of the class, I would suggest calling the parents and just right to be heard that you were concerned and required to make sure the child be okay, but he wasn't sure what he had. If you want to vote you wanted to generate sure it wasn't contagious or however you want to word it, that may be prudent.
