Why do matured individuals maintain on moving their jaws to and fro more than ever when they are not wearing their denture?

Old people bygone sixties and when not wearing the artificial teeth are often see moving their jaws to and fro. This, I am sure happens automatically and they don't appear to hold control over such actions. I would resembling to know the scientific purpose behind such movements ?

Answers:    they're bored
because theyre bones are deterierating? is that how to spell it? They don't. You want to get out more. Past sixties? Sixty is the clean fifty.
I'm not positive, but I think it's one aspect of familial tremor--the quivering of hand and more?--that has a speedy onset next to advanced age for some people who transport the gene or have in no doubt illnesses. They are more than likely rotten their faces on heaven, which can (most of the time) make the user grid their teeth. This is call bruxism, and is often accompany by trismus (jaw clenching).

Hope this helps!
I'm not positive in the order of what you're referencing... "moving their jaws to and fro"... are they "chewing"?

I'm only 33 years feeble but I have that problem. When I be in my untimely 20's I had adjectives of my teeth removed even though most didn't need to be (very long story lol). It be extremely traumatic and I still have nightmares roughly speaking it.
Anyhow... I eventually got dentures but HATED the lower ones. They didn't want to stay within and I couldn't whistle when wearing them. So even though I wear my uppers ALL the time (even to bed) not having any lowers have placed a LOT of strain on my jaw. And maybe because I used to grind my teeth the habit carried over, but immediately my jaw have further to go.
I hold TMJ because of all of this, but I STILL grind my "teeth" (just within front though).
I have brutal headache almost 24/7. If I'm in public, the "chewing/grinding" is done at a minimum because I know how retarded it make me look lol, but I often own to open my mouth to "pop" my cheek.
The "chewing/grinding" can also be a "self-comforting" habit resembling thumb sucking is for some people, so it may be more manifest when the person's under stress. And if it's notice only once a entity removes their dentures, perhaps their flexing their jowl (the mobility is very different).

Perhaps that's what you're referring to? If not, sorry for such a long post give or take a few nothing lol.
