What does it connote if you're getting sharp pains within the lower right region of your stomach? appendicitis?
Answers: Pain contained by the lower right abdomen is one of tons symptoms of appendicitis. The area have relatively few anatomical structures - the ileo-cecal junction is the most prominent - it's where on earth your small intestine meets the colon (large intestine). What you describe is typical of an issue near rather than next to the appendix - however - without a thorough 'look see' it is impossible to notify. If this is something that occurs frequently and consistently - it would be best to be see by your Dr. Blood work, and a physical exam can help discover what's up. It could be something as simple as gas, or something as complicated as a tumor or appendicitis. Usually - the 3 afternoon test is best to determine if its viral/bacterial/gas versus something structurally peculiar (occlusion/tumor/appendix). On a separate note - it could own nothing to do next to your intestines at all and could be related to ovaries/fallopian tubes/uterus surrounded by either PID, adhesion, tipped uterus, ectopic pg, etc. Bottom line is - if it's unremitting and accompanies other things resembling a fever, distress elsewhere, bleeding either menstrual or fecal - go and get thee to a licensed practitioner. Good luck.
there is a long schedule of RLQ (right lower quadrant pain). Appendicitis is in that document. If you are nauseated, vomiting, can't think of intake, and running a fever, walk to the nearest E.R. Don't ignore the backache. Better to be safe, than sorry.
