Why does it pilfer a week to seize the results of my chest x-ray?
I have in recent times had a chest x-ray as I am have severe pain from my shoulder and contained by my chest. I have be told to book an appointment in a week to see my doctor for the results. Why does it run a week!?
Answers: I'm not certain if this is the motivation in your skin but usually once the xray is taken it is sent to a radiologist to be read. Once they read it, a report is dictated, which is then transcribed and typed. It is consequently sent to your doctors office by fax, courier or snail post. Hope this explains your wait. Good Luck.
For the results to obtain back through the system to your GP xx
