Bacterial Tonsillitis, what can I expect?
I brought her to the dr. on the 2nd sunshine and he prescribed her penicillin. She missed school for 1 week.
After 1 week, I sent her backbone to school. Now, this morning she wake up with a sore throat once again. No confusion this time though but, she looks very flaxen and has red eyes. She also have swollen glands and the white spots on the tonsils once more.
My other daughter (6 years old), feel fine besides a slight headache but, she also has a independent very swollen gland.
I kept them both home from conservatory and they are going to the doctor in a few hours.
Why didn't the first round of antibiotics murder this thing? What would be the subsequent course of action? How long should children near tonsilitis stay out of school? My oldest daughter already missed one week and it is merely 2 months into the school year. And proposal? TY!
Answers: Just keep going rear legs to GP and make sure they embezzle the medicine prescribed. Some times one anti germs may not suit and has to be changed or prolonged If it is a bacterial infection next the time off conservatory varies - obtain sick-notes from their Doctor (keep copies to prove non-truancy) and he will tell you when it is nontoxic for them to return to school. Bacterial infections spread lately like the virus do. Could have be many reason the first antibiotic didn't work. Had she been on that exceptional one lately? Maybe she was in recent times resistant to that certain one. Make sure she drinks plenty of fluids and study her airway. Also, how many times surrounded by the past year have she gotten tonsilitis? May be time to look at have a tonsilectomy. I really craving you luck!
