I don't hold my tonsils. Will this affect the channel i sing?
Answers: No. The strident chords may have an effect but it's still a thing of debate among scientists.
Well, i had my tonsils out a year ago and i cannot sing a data. It does not change your voice, i could not sing a details before any.
Although, Bonnie Tyler (who i think sing 'I need a hero') said that she owed her husky voice to to a throat infection which i expect resulted in removal of her tonsils.
I sing in a decoration for years, with and minus tonsils. Made no difference at all. I still sounded great! ; )

As a immensely young boy, (around 4 or 5), I have my tonsils out. I went on to sing solo within the Essex Schools Choir at Westminster Cathedral and won quite a few talent contests latter. However, I wasn't the 'choir boy' type and was also into football, rugby and amateur boxing. So that be the end of MY singing job!
That was probably a mistake but I muse it shows that it shouldn't make any difference so righteous luck with your singing craft!
