It stunts the growth of a fetus in a mother i.e. carrying a baby. Not an young person that is smoking. However, the lungs verbs to develop until around the age of 8 years of age. At 8 years the alveoli fully develop and any cigarette smoke will inhibit the full developing of a childs lungs.
Cigarette smoking is horrible for any child, even the second hand smoke.
I'd infer not. My father smoked since age 11, was 6'4" at age 12, and 6'6" at age 14.
