My blood pressure is 108/80.... what does this show?

Went to the doctors today and my blood pressure was 108/80
I be wondering what the numbers mean and is my pressure polite? I am 24, slim and a female if that help!

Answers:    This means you hold a very upright, healthy blood pressure. Don't verbs about it unless the numbers progress up higher, close to 140/90. That is considered an elevation and reason to medicate.

P.S. Some one have it backwards on an earlier answer. The top number is systolic, explicitly the pressure in your vein when the heart is pumping. Diastolic is the bottom number, that is the pressure between heartbeats when the heart is at rest.
It's pretty low. It's not fruitless though. Don't worry more or less it. Normal is 120/80, prehypertension is 130/90 or something like that. So don't even consider it.
