What is the difference between these two medication?

Ive been taking 450 mg of Wellbutrin XL for almost 3 years, but I only just changed doctors and when I had my prescription refill by my new doctor they wrote it for Bupropion SR instead. I didnt realize until I get the prescription filled and notice the different pills. We called to own it changed, but its been a week immediately (without my medication) and they have still not given me the right prescription. Would it be undamaging to just bring the 450 mg of Bupropion SR? Is there a big difference between the SR and XL?

I dont want it to spoil me, but I feel close to my mood is starting to crash and its only be 1 week without my pills, so I dont know what to do?

Answers:    Bupropion SR is a generic for Wellbutrin XL. It should be alike and work the same. SR and XL are different jargon for the same piece -- sustained release. If you're concerned, double check your meds with your pharmacist.
They both are alike medication. bupropion sr is the generic medication for Wellbutrin XL. I believe that it just come off of its exclusive rights and a generic just become available. I am not positive that the generic just become available, but it is the same medication, merely in generic form. It works alike way, and won't be any different. They are tested to kind sure they have like amount of active ingredient (medication) surrounded by it.
