Answers: depends, sounds like she used a syringe, wreak other wise she would hold already filled the tubes while drawing your blood. The syringe stays full because theres distrustful pressure in it, cause when she pulled the plunger back. Much resembling your turkey baster... or flavor injector, the flavoring stays in until you push the plunger down. As far as putting the blood into the tubes, im surprised your asking that. You should hold seen her put the blood into respectively tube, and put your name on the tube. But every lab is different, we enjoy to do all that infront of the long-suffering, reasurance that they dont mix your tubes up with someone else. But Generally, and atleast what we do at our lab, is they put a device on the shutting of the syringe where the nozzle attached that is widespread enough too accomodate the tubes, that have a needle on it, covered by a rubber sleeve... when you press the tube contained by, it pushes the sleeve down allowing the needle too creep into the tube and since all tubes are vacumm hermetically sealed the pressure change cause the blood too flow from the syringe too the tube filling them up. That means of access its minimizing contact with the blood and minimizing our probability of being exposed to any blood borne pathogens, i.e. AIDS, Hepatitis etc. Not axiom you have it, but we see so plentiful people contained by a day you never know.
