I recently have Lasik a week ago with a a pre-lasik prescription of -6.5 to -7.00 near astigmatism. I would like to know of the experiences/results of associates who have have the procedure done, with a similar pre-script class like mine. I am currently still experiencing haloes, let-up in optical sharpness (blurriness) in low lighting areas & close up, & occasionally distance reading. I would like to know how long it took for others to get better, or if they have needed retreatment post lasik?

It is possible that your surgeon deliberately overcorrected you into hyperopia (farsighted, longsighted) delusion to allow regression to bring you back to plano (no refractive error). It is also possible that you be corrected to plano and have regressed to become slightly myopic. The description of your symptoms indicates you may be hyperopic.

At around three months postop you will hold a good concept if enhancement surgery will be recommended. You can other wait longer and if your wound invigorating has be slow it may be a good thought to wait until six months postop.

Performed in the US beside the double-laser process. (one laser to make the corneal flap and the 2nd laser to remove the excess corneal tissue):

Pre-lasik - 8 to -8.5 beside astigmatism.
Post-lasik -2.25 and -2.75

The corneal specialist who performed the procedure offered to further "fine-tune" the reverie for free, but my family partaker felt that more tuning be not necessary to see resourcefully.

She experiences haloes around lights at night. Doctor suggested eyeglasses made of Crisal brand anti-reflective coating, which helps the halo, but does not eliminate them entirely. So I suggested she hold the lenses also put in that would correct her to smaller amount than -2.75, -2.25, with the crisal brand. Now she uses those eyeglasses for driving only because it cuts the glower and she can see signs better.
In the summer, she uses precription (to further correct the -2.75,-2.5) sunglasses with polarized lenses for driving.

It have been two years since the lasik and the phantasm (without driving glasses) has be stable.
We knew going into the surgery that 100% correction of phantasm was possible, but unlikely since she be -8ish.

She is thrilled not to have to wear tacky lenses anymore. So is husband.

Husband also had it done at age 49!. He be a (-12) and I don't know what he is now, but doesn't wear goggles at all (except RX polarized sunglasses that I insist he wear for summer driving). He be also offered "free extra tweaking" but declined.
