What do you contemplate of Shobha Tandon, MD, PhD for Lasik Surgery? This is contained by Union City, CA.?

Did you have a lasik surgery beside her? Did she do a good situation? Did you have to come backbone for corrections?

Answers:    I do not know that doctor. I had my lasik done by Jay Bansal, M.D. I saw him contained by his Santa Rosa office, but he also practices at these address:

LaserVue
1174 Castro Street, Suite 112
Mountain View, California 94040

LaserVue
1700 California Street, Suite 280
San Francisco, California 94109

This was my experience near Dr. Bansal:

I was roughly speaking 20/250 before Lasik surgery later year. The procedure was painless, probably due to the Valium they give me. The ride home (as a passenger, of course) was lawfully uncomfortable, for the most part due to light sensitivity. The doctor give me dark goggles, but the fluffy was still too bright. I be in some anguish once I got home (maybe 3 hours post procedure), but I have some left over Vicodin, and took two doses of that. The Vicodin took the farthest point off. Slept fine that hours of darkness. Woke up the next morning, and I COULD SEE FINE! Hallelujah! I be jazzed up about that. I drove myself to my sooner or later check up (an 2 hour round trip) with no problems. For that check up, I be seeing at 20/25, less than 24 hours after the surgery. I go to work that afternoon (doing ultrasound which really requires you to use your eyes). For my one week check up, I was seeing between 20/20 and 20/15. Other than the touch of stomach-ache I had post procedure, back I went to bed for the darkness, I had no other problems. I would do it again within a heartbeat! No more glasses, no more contacts, no more cleaning solutions and saline!

My guidance would be to talk to everyone....verbalize to your family, friends and co-workers. Then ask your line, friends and co-workers to talk to their people, friends and co-workers....you get the impression. I found my surgeon by word of mouth. I asked everyone I know if they had Lasiks (or know anyone who had Lasiks), and what doctor they go to. Almost everyone I talked to within my area go to the surgeon I ended up going to, and everyone be perfectly self-righteous. I went into the procedure impressively confident!

Just one other thing....I go to a doctor who used computerized, laser equipment. No knives be involved. But, it cost me a pretty penny. I paid $5500 for both eyes, but I be not comfortable going to a doctor that advertised surrounded by the newspaper for $500 per eye. Sometimes you draw from what you pay for! Good luck to you!
