Any Good Hamstring Stretches?

Besides the one where you pull your leg by your head (it doesn't stretch for me, solely HURTS in the fruitless way) what are good hamstring stretches?

Answers:    Wear loose comfortable clothing, (I resembling my pygamas - some people similar to sweats - so pick your comfort).

Sit on the floor, legs apart approximately 30 - 36 inches apart (or as far as you can have your legs apart comfortably).

Take both hand and lightly run them down your leg from the thigh to the ankle until you arrive at your toes. - Stretch, slowly, and gently - but Do St-re-tch.

Now repeat impossible to tell apart proceedure on your other leg.
You should feel a verbs on your inner leg muscles.

Next - Legs still apart, place your Left hand on your Left thigh, and your Right foot on your Right thigh, and gently seperate your legs even farther, using your hand to help push your legs apart. (It might hurt a bit contained by the beginning, or discern a bit uncomfortable, but the discomfort soon dissapates).

You should conspicuously feel a stretch taking place here.
While you are in this position, Lean Forward as far as you can - (without hurting yourself of course). This will create an even stronger stretch - hold that pose for a minute.

You want to maintain your back straight as possible (meaning you don't want to hunch over. Okay?).

Repeat once or twice within the beginning, than bit by bit increase. This is a really good exercise for the hamstring, and spine - it's a great exercise for any age, and especially when you get elder, because it helps maintain your spine from shrinking and bunching together.

So REMEMBER! In the beginning - be in motion lightly. With that I anticipate, Don't Over-do It, but don't Under-do it either.

This exercise should be done no smaller number than 3 times a week.

If you do too much at the start you'll become sore and than you won't want to continue. You will later have defeated your purpose.
Start at a snail`s pace - work your way up - and DO NOT Hurt Yourself. The notion is to stretch - not injure yourself.

This is something I learnt from David Carradine's "Chi Kung" and "Tai Chi" - Good stuff!

Good Luck
i put both of my legs straight out and put them together and i only reach for them both and hold that position for at most minuscule 5-10 seconds.
