Vicodin Addiction?

I'm addicted to vicodin. I can't believe that I've become this kind of entity. I'm a very successful full time student. I also work 40 hours a week, but I am notice that my life feel empty when I'm not soaring on vicodin. I just don't know where on earth to turn. I'm so ashamed. No one in my relations knows that I'm addicted. I've be able to hide from view this terrible addiction for over two years, so I guess I'm a impressively good performer. My girlfriend doesn't know either. I grain like I'm betraying adjectives who love me, but I don't know how to stop. My addiction isn't as bad as closely of vicodin addicts out in that. I take 8 pills of 5/500 strength a light of day whereas most addicts appropriate about 30-40 a hours of daylight. I have not upped my dosage contained by two years. How can I become the person I once be? How can I stop? I don't want to have a broken body and a time full of regret. Any advice?

Answers:    Well, if you're getting the vicoden from your doctor, give an account him about this. He can switch you to something else, resembling a patch.
If you have chronic discomfort of some kind, you're going to be miserable if you try to simply stop.
If you're getting it off the street, it'll be more complicated.

If you of late feel emotionally down when you stop taking this medication, you're surrounded by better shape than most in your situation. See a doctor, describe him about the depression and he'll make available you a non-narcotic (anti-depressant) to fix this problem.

If you feel physical spasm when you quit, go to a rehab center. I know it sounds imprudent but it really isn't.
Don't beat yourself up. If you REALLY want to stop this, after you need to put yourself into detox/rehab right away.
Believe me, your nearest and dearest and girlfriend KNOWS something is terribly wrong near you---they just may not know what is wrong.
You can't rationalize that you with the sole purpose take 8 so you aren't as fruitless as other people. Even if you took ONE a morning, every day....you'd still be an user.

If you say you can't budge into detox/rehab, then you are ill-equipped to quit yet. I hope it happen for you before you do something really stupid similar to prescription fraud. It's dam unyielding to live your life after a felony conviction. And PF is a felony.
Please bring back some help.
Start going to AA meeting and speak to a counselor. I do not recommend NA out of personal experience and AA treats the same things.
