Is it OCD?
I am hooked with 'using things up'. similar to, ill progress out of my way to erase things simply because i want to use up my eraser, or ill doodle on my weekly just to use up the extra front, or ill purposely mark my clothes to wear them out a little more to eventually 'use them up'. also, it's impossible for me to throw anything away. approaching, little scraps of serious newspaper have to be save and used up entirely, and i save the tab from all my soda can, and i do weird things close to even if i'm really warm i'll put on another blanket because by wearing it i might 'use it up' or wear it out for a time bit more. im especially obsessed beside how much i wear out my clothes, but i reuse pieces of tape and i be in motion out of my way to trade name more holes in the etc. is it common to do things like this? or is it purely a weirdness going on for me, or do i have an ocd? but im serious going on for this.. all i can ever judge about is if what im doing is wearing anything out. its adjectives i ever think give or take a few.
Answers: Yes, that does sound close to OCD. If your thoughts are continually of these things and you cannot get rid of them, or you perceive like you cannot verbs to something else until you do this action, those can emphatically be symptoms of OCD. Try to find a psychologist to talk to, or ask your primary thinking physician to refer you to one. Also, there is a great book call "Brain Lock" by Jeffrey M. Schwartz, MD. I had a problem beside compulsive overeating and the book made so much sense to me, it was a huge nouns after reading it because I was resembling okay this guy is describing exactly how I feel, I am not completely crazy, this is really going on next to me. It gives you some great accepted wisdom on how to begin to control your symptoms, but absolutely look for some help...this can progress slowly to the point where on earth it will significantly change your life span...good luck!
Yes. Sure sounds resembling a form of OCD to me. You also sound close to a "hoarder" by not being competent to throw things out and collecting stuff.
I have severe OCD and I know how much of a nightmare it is. You should consider seeing a psychiatrist so you can discuss the medication and other forms of therapy they enjoy that can be useful surrounded by helping you with this.
