Approximately two days ago from the time of this question, my dog was treated near Frontline for fleas, the type that is placed on the animal's back. Today, I returned from self gone for several hours to find that the dog had been trapped within my room, torn apart most of my possessions, and when I walked in, be rubbing and rolling all over my bed. The pesticide is still visible upon the dog's backbone. It has not yet completely obsessed in or dissipated.

When I entered the room, it wreaked of dog dander. Would this odor hold been infused with Fipronal, the key ingredient of Frontline? Was the air toxic to some extent?

I changed my bed sheets, pillow, and covers. Is this enough? Could it enjoy absorbed into the mattress and carpet? I've read that this stuff as a partly life of approximately five years. Is my room now hazardous to be surrounded by?

How should I wash the bed sheets and blanket? Will "All - Free Clear" laundry detergent properly neutralize the chemicals, or need they be disposed?

What are the best ways to guarantee no pregnancy from have sex?

Answers:    Fipronil is an extremely risk-free product. If you have changed sheets and washed what you can it should be fine. What is suspicious to me is that after 2 days the spot hadn't disappeared and the reality that the room had an odor. If you did not get this directly from a vet, I would guess that this isn't really Frontline you are dealing next to.

You are panicking far too much! You've changed your bed sheets and pillows and thats what i'd have suggested so level-headed down, your not going to be nuked by any chemicals, they wouldn't prescribe them for your dog if they were hazardous to you or your home! Definitely get rid of the dog to a more loving home that accept his need for company and his need to be respected as a flee free dog.
