I found out i tore a ligament yesterday.it was hurting on my shoulder then it spread to my nouns and chest and every now and then my chest get really bad ive been to the e.r twice for times past 3 days cause of that im 17 is that normal? I hold a follow up appointment with the company doc. in 7 days he said if doesn't restore to health ill need surgery. how long dose it lug to heal. the drugs they gave me are anti-inflammatory pills, vicoden and flexeral but they dont support much for the pain. should i tell them. they also give me a steroid shot n my hip im not sur what that was for. any help or info on the subject would assist tnx

Answers:    I've torn BOTH my rotator cuffs in seperate injuries. Each time, I was trying to benchpress 320 lbs. And both times, it took a year of physical psychotherapy (exercises and stretches) to get my strength back. The torment? I just put up with it for a couple of weeks, and it subsided on its own. I've found that Naproxen works better for me. Others respond better to Ibuprofen or Ketoprofen. You of late have to try them and see which one works better for YOU.

i tore a ligament in my shoulder 2 years ago within volleyball... it hurt so bad.. even to laugh. i have to sit out for a while.. seems like it took forever to make well. the pills will keep it from flaming up. the vicoden should help beside the pain. if not ask for other pills or appropriate some tylenol. and just wait it out.
