Is my neurologist tellin the truth in the order of this?
my neurologist claimed that the solitary way they can find out whats wrong with my spinal column is an mri or an emg test.I couldnt go thru near the emg test though.
I know for a fact that he's lying.I know there's other ways they find out whats wrong? Can somebody inform me if he's lying or not.I still have no idea whats wrong near my back and its almost been a year.is near any other test or anything i can do besides an mrio or emg to find out whats wrong with my stern
Can you appropriate Aleve (for pain) and adivan (for aniexty) together?
Answers: first of all, your neurologist is correct- the only process to diagnose a herniated disc is with an MRI Or a EMG. Xrays dont show it.
secondly, the "lady who did the MRI" be not a doctor- not a radiologist, only a technician. She has no skill to read the films nor is she legally able to relay you what's wrong with you.
Get a copy of the radiology report from the facility that did your MRI. A radiologist will have written the report, and that will let somebody know you what is wrong.
A side note is that you can have a bulge within a disc & not a herniation- they are 2 different things.
herniations usually require surgery, bulges don't.
If you're not happy with the neurologist, turn see a neurosurgeon for a 2nd opinion.
they still may want an EMG.
Help me, sorting out my enthusiasm?
get a copy of the MRI and step to another doctor!
for the leg to be in pain that long, the MRI have to show a reason. could be disc herniation, disc bulge, facet hypertrophy..after a year...go to another doctor!! Sounds approaching you should seek another neurologist's opinion if you don't believe yours. And as a side record: how can you see a doctor you don't trust? Find someone new and get a second evaluation
