I had a heart cath done and my rate was a 55. However my symptoms own changed. I am urinating alot. I labor to breathe when I lay down, I cough when I laugh, and I always surface congested. I am told to go back to my cardiologist but Im afraid I will be turned away again. They did NOT do a biopsy of my heart. I get the impression Im in the early stages of heart dud, do you agree? I have also been not long diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis which can cause inflammation of the heart. If you know a biddable cardiologist in Indianapolis, please let me know, appreciation.

Answers:    You are talking about your EF or ejection fraction. 55 is obedient. Urinating a lot isn't a horrible thing. It money that your kidneys are perfused well. As far as shortness of breath when you lay down, make sure that you prop yourself up near two or three pillows. What originally took you to the cardiologist? I don't have enough information to utter whether or not you are in early stages of heart ruin. If you were, they would have see it during the cath.
