How long after quitting smoking am I supposed to start coughing up a bunch of refuse?
I've heard from other associates that you're supposed to start coughing up all the crap thats in your lungs shortly after smoking your ending cigarette...hasn't happened to me yet. Has anybody quit minus going through this or is it still yet to come for me? I do still feel a short time "tickling" in my chest, but I also feel close to I can breathe deeper without tightness.
FYI I smoked about a partially a pack a day (give or take) for about ten years. My cancer stick of choice be Marlboro ultra light menthols if that makes any difference.
I also started a running program three months ago and am very soon running between 9-12 miles a week. Two days after I quit I noticed an appreciable benefit in how long I could run in need feeling out of breath.
I really hope I don't start hack stuff up...thats gross.
Answers: The only time i really started hacking up the wicked stuff was the first heavy cold/chesty cough I get after I packed up smoking ( 4 years ago now ) bar that nothing really.
