1st step...blood work..check his PSA # If he has prostate cancer..and I mean if..they can shave it.cut it out completely,chemo,irradiation,place a radioactive seed(the best opening if possible)inside the prostate,combination of all of the above! If he is young..not as predictable to be PC. Could be he strained during a bowl movement or strenuous sex or infection of some sort. Just a good side if it is PC. If he is young and otherwise wholesome...cure rate is 95% or better. Men in their 60's live for several decades without even treating it...which I don't recommend at his age.
