85, lung cancer, next to pnemonia,?
Answers: Probably being sent home to die... at 85, next to these probs, really nothing they can do but make him comfortable...
I own been here and done this.
They have probably run a biopsy. That will determine how they will treat the cancer. The results are 3 - 4 days past its sell-by date. Then he will go see an oncologist about treating the cancer. My mother died between the call in to the oncologist and starting treatment on Monday. Lung cancer is very aggressive. Most forms are not curable.
The oxygen & antibiotics are for the pneumonia. They haven't started cancer treatment all the same... at 85, they may not. But he won't know until the biopsy results are in.
