It SHOULD go away and the tooth should feel everyday shortly. if it hurts for more than a week go back to the dentist. nearby may be other things that are going on with the tooth or you may just own a super huge filling that should have have a root canal and crown.

If your tooth is still bothering you in a week or so, I would call your dentist- sometimes the cement doesn't stick very well since surrounded by the dental world they are constantly coming out with different adhesives for teeth!

yes! when i used to have cavities occupied they always hurt. you might have to walk back and have the doctor shave your teeth to create them fit together better. that always helped beside me I've had 2 fillings that be filled years ago that still are sensitive to cold. It all depends on how far the dentist have drill and how much damage was done. Sensodine will sustain a lot.
