How to traffic next to tooth distress?? root strait tomorrow..?

my hubby went to the dentist today because of a toothache thats been bothering him for eons. turns out that the dentist be hitting too close to the nerve, and when the freezing wore off, the affliction quadrupled and so did the swelling. He's going to the dentist first thing in the morning, but surrounded by the meantime, it hurts so much that he could cry (and he's not the crying kind of man). He already took a few extra strength tylenol. what are some 'unorthodox' or home remedies for this kind of distress? he has to get through the subsequent 12hrs or so. I don't like seeing him in this much backache, plz help?

Im getting my 4 suitability teeth out within 2 hours and im really nerbous and my heart keep defeat vigorous?

Answers:    Yes, he can take 800mg of ibuprofen every 4 hours. In between this, hold tylenol. Oil of clove is good. You can apply a few drops to the tooth, just don't bring it on your tongue. Or, place a small amount on a cotton ball and hold it next to the tooth. He SHOULD NOT enjoy a root canal done while the tooth is hurting and swollen. He should first be placed on antibiotics and then hold something done after that takes effect. Otherwise he won't get numb and it will be MORE bleeding. Oil of clove is at most health food stores and pharmacies. Just be careful b/c it can burn the gums if too much is applied to them. Try to apply to tooth. DO NOT HOLD ASPIRIN OR SIMILAR IN MOUTH. If you enjoy a family doc, have him name in antibiotics and pain meds, or progress to the ER for some. Also, just be sure the swelling isn't a result of the injection. His face isn't bruised right?

I'm gettin my braces sour, will it hurt at adjectives?

I merely had a root canal done second week. I was in disastrous pain and I couldnt sleep at night. The just thing that helped me be motrin and getting a cup of warm water near salt(ive heard sea saline is better) and swirling it around my mouth. that only relieves the pain temporarily but it feel ALOT better. I know what he's going through. good luck. Ibuprofen, 800 mgs (usually 4 pills). It is really the best thing out near for dental pain. It causes your body to release some inbred endorphins that helps to ease the niggle. I always take that for dental problems and it take care of it. Also have him purloin it before going into the dentist's office, it really does sustain afterward.

When do ppl start taking things serious, i go 2 dentist & told him just about my bleak breath but he simply wabbled?

tea,hot cloth applied to the mouth, tylenol, advil, ice pack, and just try to keep on until tomorrow oil of clove applied to the tooth.

Getting braces?

hi i'm the husban,

the swelling isn't due to the needle, and its not abessed, or anything of the sort, from conversation to my dentist after the visit when the freezing wore off, he mention thinking he may hold drilled into the nerve , or at least historic the layer surrounding the nerve, the swelling have gone down alot, and sadly I wish I have the clove oil but the nearest store to me for it is 2 hours away, I've tried the other stuff, cept the ibprofin stuff dont have any. the wifes asleep presently figured i'd add a comment. thank you adjectives much for the advise though!! its started at 6pm ish, its now 3:50 am... freshly a few more hours to go

edit: she also forgot to update yea's it was 3 cavity filling done at indistinguishable time, and the dentist wants to do 3 root canal things to solve the problem contained by the morning. I only wish I could afford to be knock out... when i'm in the chair... I in actuality shake and vibrate, I'm terrified of the dentist, as you can see why.. this type of dental treatment is run of the mill for my luck =\ lol
