How long are you suppoesed to brush your teeth?
But my boyfriend went to the dentist yesterday and his dentist told him to brush his teeth for ten minutes, about 2 minutes for respectively section.
He told me I should do that and I did it yesterday and today but It irritated my gums so I looked online and it said brushing too much can damage your teeth and gums.
whats the right amount of time for brushing teeth because I do not want to hurt mine!

You are completely correct. You should brush your teeth for 2-3 minutes, unless you have braces, then for roughly speaking 5 minutes.
I would suggest telling your boyfriend this too. I don't know what his dentist was thinking, because you can plunder your gums from brushing to long.

inthink that its okay to only brush 2-3 minutes twice a day. but possibly 5 could do it. just so you can get adjectives around your mouth.
if you want to start brushing for 10 minutes( i personally think thats too long) respectively week gradually add on another minute, and your gums will obtain used to it.
If you really want to know when your teeth are clean, get some of that stain dentists make a contribution little kids to train them to brush properly. It won't hurt, and after all the stain is gone, you will know how long it will take to capture your teeth clean.

it is around 2-3 min but conceivably the dentist wanted him 2 brush more bcuz of plaque or sumtin i wouldnt do it for 10 min if it really irritates ur gums but if u want 2 do it for that long i would gradually affix a min a day nd see if that helps:) um, yeah..your bf's dentist sucks and yours is right.
