Answers: Hi
Well I was merely like you. and i ended up going away work and studying full time and now run my own business... but it is hard going...
Firstly you call for to a course such as Swedish Body Massage.
Without that you cant get on to much more. It involves anatomy and Physiology plus massage routine and is stepping stone to abundant other courses.
After i did that i left work and did full time Diploma In Holistic Therapies which consists of Aromatherapy and Reflexology.
If you plan on carrying on working your current job surrounded by day enrol for evening courses such as Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy.
I also did nutrition and sports massage when i have my year out... i worked part time at Sainsbury to keep myself as a poor student!!
It take a long time when you are doing it in the evenings... but once you start it is addictive!!
I am now doing trainer training degree to teach it, and basically enrolled with private company to do Diploma within crystal Therapy, Hopi Ear Candles and spiritual Healing.
Reiki is also popular and you can pay privately to do that as I did. The world is your oyster... but the market is soaking wet with therapists... it is expensive to study... the discount is poor at the moment.. and friends or friends of friends never want to pay!!
Go to your local college and look into it carefully.
I love doing it but it is slow process building business up.
I am a moment ago going to start taster workshops to increase what i do.
I also work at a local school providing treatments to teachers and I do community work. I believe there are too many salon.. you have to look outside the box.
If you want any more info e mail me i'll try and oblige... good luck x
